 Major Exhibition ~ Henri Matisse

In Celebration of our first anniversary of trading on Bristol's exclusive Harbourside development, The Bristol Gallery is pleased to present our most significant exhibition to date, Henri Matisse, along with the opportunity to win a free trip to the ' Matisse Chapel ' in Vence.

 

The exhibition held in conjuction with the well established Goldmark Gallery in Leicester, presents the largest exhibition of original prints by Henri Matisse ever exhibited in Bristol. The exhibition comprises of 75 individual lithographs from the 1948 series, Florilege des Amours de Ronsard. Each of these rare and highly collectable prints are available for purchase with prices ranging from £275 - £3450.

 

With every purchase the gallery will offer entry into a prize draw for the opportunity to win a weekend for two in Vence in the south of France and a visit to the famous ' Matisse Chapel '.

 

This exhibition is accompanied by an art history seminar, lead by Theodora Clark (University of Bristol), titled Matisse in Moscow: A Private Collector of the Avant-Garde, on Saturday 23rd October. For more information please see Classes

The Bristol Gallery is the largest retailer of original limited edition prints in the South  West region. Our diverse exhibition programme includes rare lithographs, etchings, woodcuts and aquatints by 20th century masters including Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Kandinsky, Hockney and Bacon.
